Ravi is a seasoned investor and operator with more than three decades of experience across engineering, venture capital, and company building. He began his career in space robotics at NASA before moving into leadership roles at McKinsey, the U.S. Army, Ameritech, and Peapod.
He later served as a General Partner at Alta Partners and Managing Director at Charter Venture Capital, backing over 30 companies and serving on 20+ boards, including leading a $20M round into Ellie Mae, which sold at a 250x+ multiple. As a founder and executive, he has led companies such as Slingshot Power, Noribachi, and Findora, and advised advanced technology teams including Google’s quantum computing group.
Ravi received a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (focus on AI/Robotics) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ravi is also passionate about sports and currently plays pickleball and street hockey on a near daily basis.
